The Holy One, blessed be He, prepared Rosh Hashana, the Selichot and the Ten Days of Repentance, so that his children would not be embarrassed and ashamed before Him on Yom Kippur. In Selichot we ask the Holy One, blessed be He, for mercy and improvement. On Rosh Hashana we pray to the Holy One, blessed be He, we blow the shofar, repent and be ashamed of the Creator and ask Him to forgive us. During the Selichot, on Rosh Hashanah and the Ten Days of Repentance, the Holy One, Blessed be He, gives the Jews a thought to repent and when the Day of Atonement comes, the people of Israel have already reduced 50% or more of the kelipot and their burden.
